Used these in years past and the deer dig up the ground long after the rocks are gone. Pour over a mineral rock or a pile of corn features buck jam is a gooey gel like mineral lick that is full of sweet fruit flavor and minerals.

Keep in mind though that deer don t have much need for salt in the fall so using it as an attractant in the fall is pretty much useless. Trophy rock is a great product. As buckhunter said you can attract deer with just a salt block. Homebrew mineral sites have been the poorest performers of the 3 and are a bit of a pain to deal with.

Deer are immediately attracted to the buck jam area where they will soon begin to leak and enjoy the minerals. Trophy rocks have worked well everywhere i have put them.
